Im running 10km with a friend of my every day, and in bad weather ill try to run 5km. Before going to bed and before school ill do some pushups and situps. I play the drums, and play in the summer allot of football.

  • The pushup: Begin with trying to do as much pushups you can in one minute a few times a day and youll soon see some results!

How to do a good push up: http://www.wikihow.com/Do-a-Push-Up

So my advice to everyone is to find a partner to sport with, its really stimulating.

I've been riding my stationary bike 30 minues, 7 days a week since February 2008.  Dropped 50lbs and can walk up several flights of stairs without losing my breath, so I'm going to try mixing it up starting in May and add jogging to the mix...I love hiking in the summer, too!

To stay fit I train with great variation during a week.

I do long walks from 2 - 8hours in the forest 2-3 times, I run in the forest or on treadmill intervall or longrun 1 - 3hours. Once a week I go biking 6 - 10 kilometers and short  distance biking 10 km as daily transport. 2 times a week I do military strength. Once a week as for now I go swimming 1400m - 3000m which I will increase in a couple of weeks to 2 times a week. Ill also start dancing soon.

Training this way insure me of not getting bored of training and make me happy.

I hope to start my running program tomorrow. IN the meantime, I have belly dancing once a week, Zumba classes once a week, and housework (it can burn calories too, maybe I'll do it more often!)

I'd like to be 130 lbs. again. I'm almost 150. I hate it.

Wish me luck!

I jog early in the morning. I have adapted to certain life style modifications. I do a lot of gardening. It is fun and gives me the energetic feeling.

I swim in weekends. I am concerned about a low fat diet too.

The comments on the last post took me off course from my next planned foray into Fuglyville.

I kept thinking, Who can really define a deserving horse owner?

Who should and shouldn’t be allowed to own a horse?
How many mistakes does a person get to make as a horse owner before they are no longer allowed to have one?

I became a Zumba instructor! I teach a class every second week and practise at home at least once a week for an hour. Amazing cardio workout!

Hi all - after being ill and unable to work out for some time (other than gentle walking) I'm back into a regular routine. My plan for this Autumn (southern hemisphere) is:

  • 30 minutes stationary bike 3x week - I do this while I watch my TV program after work
  • 30-40 minutes weight training 2x week - I have set up a routine that does 2 sets of a combo move (eg squat with lat raise) followed by 1 set of a core move (eg Pilates 100s), which currently takes me 32 minutes to get through
  • 30-45 minutes Pilates 1x week - using a DVD at home
  • 25 minutes Yoga 1x week - using a DVD at home
  • walking whenever I can, especially during my work day - 10,000 steps a day is the aim

I started this routine at the beginning of March and it is going well so far. On my weight training days I try to lift the heaviest weights I can with good form - for me this is a maximum 7.5 kg dumbbell, as that's the largest I currently own

I am also planning to buy a new pushbike soon and will aim to ride to work a couple of days a week as well as ride for short errands. Every little bit counts!

I'm on week 2 of Bridge to 10k after completing the nine weeks of Couch to 5k. I am doing this on a treadmill at home. On other days I use my stationary bike for 45mins.
